In Episode 55, MTT Coach Gareth James and Peak Performance Strategist Dr. Tricia discussed the reasons why our stack size can lead us to play sub-optimally. There is a certain psychology behind either having heaps of chips or not very many. In both spots, we may take unwise risks and not play each hand to the best of our ability.

Then, they answered a question about how to overcome variance when you play live. Specific tips were given regarding considering field size, rake, the # of events you play in a year, and whether or not the event skips levels. A discussion ensued about the role that study and preparation plays in ROI considerations.

Gareth recently released the latest part of his Mini Sunday Million Chop review, which you can check out here: https://youtu.be/zb7N7Aiy-l4
