Today I talk about how Americans and how we seem to take every occasion we can to eat. Last week my father passed away from cancer at the age of 84. What did people do? They brought me food. While I appreciate it, I think this is mainly so we can eat instead of talk. After all, what are you going to talk about? Let's not and eat instead. Today we also talk about a GREAT FITNESS APP for both android and appl called Nike training Club. the best part if its free.
Nike Training Club Reviewed [6:14]
I was listening to your podcast where you reviewed the app "Pump Up" and wanted to suggest another for you.Recently, Nike produced a workout app for functional training.  The idea is to use minimal equipment so you can do it anywhere.  I do mine in the group studio at my gym.  All you need is a mat and an occasional piece of equipment. It is called Nike Training Club and it is FREE on Android and Apple.  Its the best I've found out there.  It will generate workouts for you, and talk to you and time you so the only thing you need to focus on is your body. It sounds a lot like Pump Up that you reviewed, but this one is free and talks to you.  I Like it, and I've been recommending it to everyone who likes this kind of training.  Check it out.  It has a lot of variability.
Best of luck to you, I enjoy your reviews on your podcast!

Today I provied some things to repeat like, "I will eat healthier and continue to exercise." Courtesy of the Wellness 365 app.
GMO Bills are Coming to Congress [17:11]
We need to educate ourselves on what is being put into our food. While we get focused on who wins the voice, or dancing with the stars, chemical companies are earning billions by pumping junk into our food. Write your congressmen to fight this. Here are the articles. Food Labeling Bill Food Labeling comes to Congress Contact your representatives in Congress and demand that they vote against this pro-GMO bill, and then contact the bill's sponsors—Rep. Pompeo, Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), and Rep. G.K. Butterfield (D-NC)—and express your outrage at their support! You can also submit a letter to your representatives on the Center for Food Safety's website.
Opportuniteas Review [23:00]
I'm not a huge fan of unsweatened tea, so I was worried when Greg from opportunities sent me a sample. It has all sorts of ingrediants and nutrients. According to their website, "Opportuniteas makes it incredibly easy to get the very best foods for health and nothing else.  Our tea blends are natural, nutrient dense formulas designed to cover the needs of active people. You get phenomenal nutritional insurance because we use a wide variety of ingredients from nature. This makes it easy to avoid nutrient deficiencies and optimize total body health. Whole foods sourced in their natural form boost energy. You can feel the difference." The jar is sealed for my protection and the scoop that comes with it is the perfect size if you are trying to dump it into your water bottle (its a very small scoop which is why you can get 40 servings from a single jar). I was glad that my original reaction was not BLURGGHH!. It wasn't bad (again this from a person who is not an unsweetened tea fan). The good news as this is something you mix, you are in complete control of the strength of your tea. As this is a powder you could also use it in smoothies baking and other recipes. So as I'm not a huge tea drinker and this didn't make me spit it out, I'm guessing if you are a tea drinker you will love this stuff. The best part is it calculates to 75 cents a serving which sure beats the $1.50 I would pay for a bottle of something from Lipton out of the vending machine that isn't nearly as healthy (and I have no control over the strength of the tea).
Not a fan of Tea?
Here are some things (from the Opportuniteas website) you can add to your tea to give it a new flavor: Honey Coconut Oil Grass Fed Butter (really?) Grass Fed Ghee

Taco Bell's Breakfast Menu [31:00]

No, that honor goes to the A.M. Crunchwrap—eggs, cheese, meat (sausage, steak, or bacon), and a hash brown wrapped in flour tortilla. If you order one with sausage, you’ll get 710 calories, 46 grams of fat, and 1,150 milligrams of sodium. That’s 70 percent of the fat and 50 percent of the sodium you should have in an entire day. The wraps with bacon or steak will save you 50 or so calories and about 5 grams of fat, but they contain even more sodium.

By comparison, the Waffle Taco looks like health food. And while it’s no nutritional star, it is one of the better picks in the fast food arena—provided you stick with only one. (The Crunchwrap is twice the size.) The egg and cheese version has 260 calories, 13 grams of fat, and 420 milligrams of sodium. With sausage, it has 370 calories, 23 grams of fat, and 550 milligrams of sodium Full article

Stanford University found that simply receiving a check-in phone call that asked about your progress every two weeks increased the amount of exercise participants did by 78% on average. Meanwhile, the Department of Kinesiology at Indiana University found that couples who worked out separately had a 43% dropout rate, while those who went to the gym together had only a 6.3% dropout rate. The Köhler Effect is, in a nutshell, not wanting to be the “weakest link” in a group or partnership. Specifically, working out with someone more fit than you will, in turn, make you more fit.
