Week 14 of the Philadelphia Eagles 2022-2023 season is now in the books! The Birds absolutely dominated the New York Giants through a well-balanced offensive game plan, and beat them by a score of 48-22 at at MetLife Stadium. The Eagles are now 12-1 on the season, they have secured a playoff spot, and they remain first in the NFC East division as well as atop the NFC overall. This week, Matt Rogers (@politidope) from The Honorable Mention Podcast joined us for our analysis.

The biggest theme of this game: setting a dominant offensive tone early. It was a dominating opening drive by the Eagles with Jalen Hurts completing 9 of 10 passes for 64 yards before Miles Sanders scored a 3-yard rushing TD. That opening drive consisted of 14 plays, took 8 minutes and 5 seconds off the clock, and they went 84 yards. Not to mention completions to seven different receivers, and nine different personnel packages. Balance, balance, balance was the name of the offensive game.

The Eagles defensive line was nothing short of dominant as well. 7 sacks on the day. 10 tackles for a loss. 12 quarterback hits. They only allowed Saquon Barkley to rush for 28 yards on the ground on 9 carries. The linebackers and secondary also performed incredibly well in this game as well.

As horrendous as special teams has looked throughout most of the season, aside from a blocked punt by the Giants, the Eagles special teams have been coming around. We saw a great 66-yard kick return by Boston Scott, The Giants Killer.

As always, we gave our themes, takeaways and graded the units and coaches.
