Dr. Robert Malenka is the Pritzker Prof. of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, Director of the Pritzker Lab, and Deputy Director of the Stanford Neurosciences Institute at Stanford University. He studies how brain cells communicate with each other via chemical and electrical signals, how connections between neurons (synapses) work at a molecular level, and how nervous subset, changes occur (plasticity).
