Justice, I hear you. I appreciate you listening and offering your insight. I (Rashad) have seen my fears positively influence quite a bit. I understand your wanting to use a different term (adrenaline) to describe it, but I'm really familiar with the difference. There are times when I'm pumped/excited to do something and expecting a very positive outcome. In those times, it's the excitement that drives the adrenaline (I call it enthusiasm) I need to get things done. In this case, however, I find it's my healthy fear of failure and regret that drives me. I'm enthusiastic still, and know that I'll accomplish my goals by simply continuing to focus on the completing the task. Often people focus only on the positive outcomes. I also spend considerable time acquainting myself with negative outcomes, because it seems those give me more enthusiasm (adrenaline) in my attempts to do both - avoid the guilt, shame, regret, disappointment, and poverty that come with negative outcomes, while likewise moving more towards a total experience of the positive, fulfilling, proud, and wealthy outcomes. You're right about emotions being coded into the body's chemistry. I've watched a lot of Jewel Pookrum youtube videos and heard similar. Take note, however, that when I talk of "positive" outcomes, I'm not necessarily talking about ultimate "happiness". We'll have to rap about that in another thread. Rashad

Hey fellas... read this, and everything part of my training and education would caution against using fear as a motivator. Has being fearful done anything to alleviate fear, or has it created more of it. I think you may actually be referring to being adrenalized, which men's brains work well on. Women's certainly do not. They function from a place of peace. What you spend your time and attention on you build out into your brain, and the emotions that dominate your life are transferred into the chemistry of your body and coded into the electromagnetic pulse that eminates from your heart during each beat and communicates with the world.
