This week, I think we have moved to the future, after scientists were able to insert brain implants into a paralysed patient and read his mind well enough to understand him writing out letters in his thought.
They then translated this into real text on a screen allowing him to physically write out sentences in his own handwriting all without ever picking up a pen or keyboard.

The research published in the journal Nature really shows a huge increase in our technical abilities around the brain/computer interface. 
While this technology in the right hands has huge potential to help those with disabilities, I'm always worried that in the wrong hands could be of great concern. 
Elon Musk has invested millions in his neuralink brain chip in which he has already implanted into pigs and monkeys.
Dr. Michelle Dickinson says it will be interesting to see where this technology goes, and what rules are put around it if any.
