Do you go to therapy? Me too! God gave us our minds along with our bodies, so we need to take care of our minds too! There is so much focus on improving our physical selves, which is important, but I don’t see enough focus on improving our mental health too. In this episode, I get real honest about my experiences related to others’ mental health and then my experiences working on my own mental health issues.

Some of the things I touch on in this episode:
-Living with a parent who had panic attacks
-Learning about mental health in pharmacy school
-Diving into the world of personal development through a multi-level marketing company
-My first time seeing a therapist
-Using a crisis text line
-Seeing a new therapist virtually
-As much as you can do on your own, having an objective, non-judgmental professional who can bring in a different perspective is SO crucial! I read lots of books, listen to lots of podcasts, journal (almost) daily, and pray, and I think all those things are helpful, but it is so much better to have a therapist to help me too

If you are in a mental health crisis, you can text the Crisis Text Line by typing “HOME” to 741741 (US and Canada). It is SO good to ask for help!

How do you take care of your mental health? I’d love to hear your experience or how you are helping tear down the stigma. Contact me at emily@nfppharmacist.com or message me on Facebook (NFP Pharmacist) or Instagram (@nfppharmacist)

It would really help me and future listeners out of you would please review the show! Plus I want to know how I can make it better for you. Thank you!
