Hector Carmona joins the program to explain the scandal raging through the elite equestrian Olympic sport of dressage. He explains how the sport has been taken over by an abusive group that have corrupted the entire culture of the sport. Dressage for thousands of years has been a sport of harmony, respect and compassion between the rider and the horse. A dance of beauty to celebrate the companionship and bond they possess. This highest level of pursuits has been replaced with an abusive and aggressive method of training dominated by absolute control of the horse with the Rollkur method of training. The culture has also been plagued with a systemic pattern of abuse with the trainers promising young teenage girls the chance of Olympic gold in exchange for sexual abuse and shame. The elite establishment, including the FEI who was created to prevent animal abuse and the most elite Spanish riding school, have all been put on notice and they continue to ignore the stream of complaints that are pouring in from trainers, competitors, sex abuse victims, veterinarians, and animal right groups.
