Dr. Finley is a Religious Studies Professor at Louisiana State University and has been studying the role of the UFO narrative in the Nation of Islam. We speak to Dr. Finley about the history of the Nation of Islam, their belief system, and the idea of the Mother Wheel. We then move on to the rise of Rev. Louis Farrakhan ,how he had a vision of the mother wheel in 1985, and how he used that symbolism to establish his legitimacy as head of the Nation of Islam. We also delve into some other UFO experiences by African Americans and what they mean.
