Miani and Luke wrap up Primary Perspectives big 10th birthday month with part 4 of a fabulous line-up of amazing guests! Keeping with the season’s theme of conservation in the lead up to the release of ‘An Antechinus in the Attic’ on National Threatened Species Day on 7th September, the team were so honoured to welcome the Australian Threatened Species Commissioner, Dr Sally Box, to the show for the very first time. Sally has a PhD in Plant Sciences and she began her career in the Department of the Environment and Energy working on threatened species assessments. Since then she has worked with the community to design and deliver programs focused on threatened species conservation, including through her leadership of the Green Army, and in early 2018 she took up the role of Threatened Species Commissioner.

Check out this great podcast to find out just how many threatened and endangered species there are in total in Australia and what it is that Sally does in her role as Threatened Species Commissioner.
