I agree, and I know I've been guilty of the very same thing. I now try to stress the importance of checking it out for yourself in scripture.

I agree with you. The challenge I see is most people, including many pastors and teachers, have been taught wrong "Biblical Truth", so rather than testing it, as you said, they just adopt it and reteach it. We have churches full of people yet no one knows their Bibles. God says part of His new Covenant with His people will be to write His Words on their heart...So where is it, if all these people sitting in our churches are supposedly His? Where is that Word that is supposed to be written on their hearts?
