On Aug. 21, 2017, John Gonzalez of MLive interviews Michigan author Doug Stanton about the USS Indianapolis and his book "In Harm's Way." The wreckage of the US Navy warship was discovered Aug. 18, 2017. It had been missing for 72 years.
John also talks to Doug about "Horse Soldiers," another book that will be released as a movie in January of 2018.
And they talk about the Traverse City-based National Writers Series.
