In this episode we talk about how we teach our kids about God, and how teaching this to them can help them to better face life. We read the scriptures with our children every day and they learn quite a bit because of the many good, principle filled stories contained therein. We also pray with them as a family, teaching them both how to pray with everyone and how to pray on their own, and then in this process they learn the importance of prayer. We pray as a family once in the morning, during meals throughout the day, and then before bed in the evenings, and this has become an anchor for our family. One thing we’ve done to help guide our children is get involved with service, which has really taught them how to love and care for people other than themselves.

Like speaking good about people, or not stealing, and different things like that that is something higher than just Mom and Dad. Our kids will buck against us sometimes, but they won’t buck against God.” 4:44
