Brutalism is an architectural movement where simple and functional forms are the musthave.
on Domus The collage of Babina tells the Trellick tower. The english tower called tower of terror has essential geometric shapes, and it is made with the main important material of the architectural movement, the raw concrete. Stairs, elevators and pumbing are separated from the apartments in a service tower : this action allows a significant economic saving as well as a visual lightening of the building. and what s about Italy? In Milan there is an another great brutalist example, the Velasca tower.
