In this episode, Lilian sits down with NXT Superstar, Tommaso Ciampa. Tommaso discusses all about his life’s journey that has led to the massive success that he is currently experiencing. However it is not without a few bumps in the road which includes a dark path after he was released from his WWE developmental contract back in 2007. Tommaso talks about his suicide attempt during that time and how his life was saved and changed after that night. He speaks honestly about his family being affected by it and how he always makes the effort to fight off depression. Like many others, he speaks about being an introvert and how he looks at pro wrestling as an escape. Many remember Tommaso making an appearance on a 2005 episode of Smackdown getting chokeslammed by the Undertaker and he gives exclusive in depth details about the behind the scenes on that memorable taping which includes an interaction with Stephanie McMahon that has still affected him to this day. Tommaso would dominate the independent scene and talks about being a member of the Ring Of Honor roster where he experienced some ups and downs and he talks about what led him to leaving the company before fully betting on himself. He would have multiple tryouts with WWE and would continuously be turned down including just months before making his NXT debut with Johnny Gargano and he mentions why he believes they kept bringing him back. He speaks about the importance of having a strong relationship with Triple H who he considers a mentor and why he will always FIGHT to be KEPT on the NXT roster.
