The guest host for today's show is Brad Bannon. Brad runs Bannon Communications Research, a polling, message development and media firm which helps labor unions, progressive issue groups and Democratic candidates win public affairs and political campaigns. His show, 'Deadline D.C. with Brad Bannon,' airs every Monday from 3-4pm ET.

Brad is first joined by Sandra Purohit, Director of Federal Advocacy for E2 (Environmental Entrepreneurs), a national, nonpartisan group of business leaders, investors, and professionals from every sector of the economy who advocate for smart policies that are good for the economy and good for the environment.
Sandra is on the front lines of the congressional debate over items in President Biden's 'Build Back Better' legislation, and is located right in Washington D.C.

Brad and Sandra analyze the recent United Nations Climate Report, and why we must now accelerate America's transition to a cleaner, more secure economy.

Additionally, with Earth Day being this Friday, they discuss what areas we're seeing promising changes in energy policy occurring, as well as what are that areas that we need to see much faster progress in.

Sandra's Twitter handle is @SandraPurohit and the handle for 'Environmental Entrepreneurs' is @e2org. Their website is www.e2.org.

Brad is then joined by Tim Zenk and Mark Grimaldi for his 'provocative progressive political panel.' They pick up on Brad and Sandra's discussion of energy policy and the environment. They also talk about what Democrats can do to between now and the midterm elections to better their chances of holding the majority in the House and Senate.

Tim Zenk has worked in renewable energy development for two decades to build new technologies for difficult to decarbonize sectors like aviation.
Presently, Tim is the principal consultant at Molecule LLC. At Molecule, he focuses on the nexus of policy, finance, and technology to fight climate change.
You can follow him on Twitter, where his handle is @greencrude.

Mark Grimaldi has been a progressive political activist for the past 13 years. He volunteered for the campaigns of President Obama (2008 and 2012), Senator Bernie Sanders (2016), Secretary Hillary Clinton (2016), and President Joe Biden (2020). Mark is also involved in campaign finance reform efforts around the country, and philanthropic efforts for Cancer research. His Twitter handle is @MarkJGrimaldi.

Brad writes a political column every Sunday for 'The Hill.' He's on the National Journal's panel of political insiders and is a national political analyst for WGN TV and Radio in Chicago and KNX Radio in Los Angeles.
