A bit off topic, but you do have those other books and podcasts, so I'm crossing over to those. I've been trying to do this same analysis of the Bible stories, from the point of view of historians and scholars. I'm not one of those so, I'm a bit handicapped, but like your episode here expresses, it's frustrating to listen to the people who do have that knowledge, but they just skip over it, and say "it's sad because it's associated with sadness." Could be that they hold back because people say if you analyze something, you ruin it. Some truth in that, but you are demonstrating here that it can be done in a way that enhances the experience, not detracts.
