Welcome to Day 1716 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomA Good Witness – Daily WisdomWelcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1716 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before.
Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from John White, and it is: A good Christian witness isn't like a salesman, where his emphasis is on a person rather than a product. Instead, a good witness is like a signpost. It doesn't matter whether it is old, young, pretty, ugly; it has to point in the right direction and be understood. We are witnesses to Christ, and we point to him.
A Good Witness
Some Christians, pastors, and evangelists act like they have to create a sales pitch to share the good news of Christ. This is not the case at all. First, it is only God's Spirit that can draw a person to seek Him. He uses humans as instruments to reach people, but not through lofty promises or glitzy sales pitches. Second, we are to live in such a manner that we become a signpost pointing others in the right direction. Our lives should be the salt of the earth which generates a thirst for God in people's hearts. We are also to be a light to the world, illuminating the dark paths people are traveling so they can see the way to God. We should know the way to God and be willing to show the way to those seeking Him. We do not need any unique talents, be of a certain age or social status. Each of us can be like that dependable sign on the trails of life, continuing to point the correct direction to God.

Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News.
As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of ‘Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.’
