Welcome to Day 1693 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomAim At The Goal – Daily WisdomWelcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! We are on Day 1693 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Bruce Lee, and it is: A goal is not always meant to be reached; it often serves simply as something to aim at.
Aim at the Goal
As I have often mentioned, it is good to set goals and then create as detailed a plan as possible to reach those goals. But, of course, the farther out the goal, the less precise the distant plans will be. In fact, along the way, you may need to readjust your goal from what you had initially intended. Changing or resetting goals is fine and can be healthy. Unfortunately, we cannot know with certainty what our future will hold. There will be many twists and turns, mountains and valleys that we must traverse before reaching our destination. Once goals are set, you should have scheduled checkpoints along the way where you stop, assess your current situation and then ask these three questions.
Is the original goal still the destination we desire?
Are we still heading towards our goal?
What adjustments do we need to make to reach our goal?
If you answer no to the first question, then pause and determine what your new destination is and modify plans accordingly. If your goal hasn’t changed, but you are off course, then decide how you got off course and why. After you have analyzed how and why you are off the path, then make appropriate adjustments to keep heading in the direction of your destination.
Adjust your course or change the destination as needed. Finally, realize that the lesson learned through this analysis contributes to your success during your trek of life. You will never ultimately fail in life unless you choose to quit altogether.

The Lord is good and does what is right; he shows the proper path to those who go astray. He leads the humble in doing right, teaching them his way.
