Welcome to Day 1692 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomBe Refreshed – Daily WisdomWelcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Proverbs%2016%3A16andversion=NLT (Proverbs 16:16) How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver! We are on Day 1692 of our Trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget:
Today’s quote is from Proverbs 11:25, and it is: The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed
Be Refreshed
This proverb may be considered an oxymoron. How can you prosper if you are giving money and resources away? One thing I can be sure of, though, this proverb is abundantly factual. I can say this, because I have experienced the results in my own life. Let me break it down in a manner that might help to understand the principle of being generous and refreshing others. Let’s say that I am a farmer, and I desire to grow corn. I have 10 bushels of seed corn that I can use to plant in the spring or use the corn to feed to animals. If I use it as feed, I am out of corn when the 10 bushels are gone. If I am willing to plant the corn, tend the fields, wait for it to grow, ripen, and then harvest the crop, I will end up with a yield of approximately 1,000 bushels. All it takes is a lot of hard work, perseverance, and faith that God will give the increase. The refreshment does not come during the sweltering summer months when the farmer is tending the crop. But as the crop is harvested, there is much rejoicing. How refreshing to think about. So it is when we are generous and willing to refresh others, we will end up prospering and being refreshed beyond anything we can imagine. Once again, the law of planting and harvesting can be applied to our willingness to give to others.

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy%2011%3A13%2D15andversion=NLT (Deuteronomy 11:13-15)
“If you carefully obey the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the Lord your God and serve him with all your heart and soul, then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil. He will give you lush pastureland for your livestock, and you yourselves will have all you want to eat.
