Hello, my friend, I am Guthrie Chamberlain, your captain on our journey to increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy.  Thank you for joining us today as we explore wisdom on our 2nd millennium of podcasts. This is Day 1232 of our Trek, and time for a 3-minute mini-trek called Humor Unplugged.  Our Thursday podcast will provide a short and clean funny story to help you lighten up and live a rich and satisfying life.  Something to cheer you and provide a bit a levity in your life.  We are told in  Proverbs 15:30  A cheerful look brings joy to the heart; good news makes for good health.  We are also encouraged in Proverbs 17:22  A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.  Consider this your vitamin supplement of cheer for today.  So let’s jump right in with today’s funny which is titled:
Breakfast Special
Sam and Sally, an older couple, went to breakfast at the Busy Bee Restaurant, where the Senior Special was two eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast and a bottomless cup of coffee all for $1.99.

After they were seated at a table, Rhonda their server came to the table with coffee and asked if they both wanted the Senior Special.  "That sounds really good," Sally replied,  "But I don't want the eggs."

“Well, then I'll have to charge you two dollars and forty-nine cents because you're ordering a la carte," Rhonda warned her.

Sally was really taken back and replied, "You mean I'd have to pay more for NOT taking the eggs? That is incredulous.”

"Yep" stated Rhonda, “I can’t deviate from the special at all at that price.”

Sally pondered for a few moments,  and finally said, “Well, I guess I'll take the special then."

“Great!” Exclaimed Rhonda, "How do you want your eggs?"

With a deadpan look of seriousness on her face, Sally said, "Raw and in the shell."

After breakfast, Sally asked for a to-go box and took the two eggs home with her.I hope that brought a smile to your face today.  If it did pass your smile onto some else, we all could use a good smile.  For our Thursday thought is: “Problems are nothing but wake-up calls for creativity.”
