In this episode, we discuss the racial tension and police brutality that is occurring during a pandemic. In this current climate, black lives are being killed, traumatized and hurting. We talk about the injustice of black lives that were murdered due to police brutality and how the “All lives matter” saying is trying to drown out the voices of the Black Lives Matter movement.

We provide a 3 in 1 perspective of being black women, believers and mental health advocates. We breakdown how the recent events  are independently and collectively impacting the Black community, mental health and the church. We address the issues and needs at hand without putting a Jesus band-aid over it. We acknowledge the gospel and its purpose, but also do not turn the eye for the injustices and bloodshed that is taking place.

From protesting, advocating, and coping we provide some useful tips and skills to promote compassion, support, empathy, understanding and self-care during these painful and tumultuous times.
