His Hebrew name was Thomas, but His Greek name was Didymous, which means "twin". It seems as though there were twins within Thomas, just like in all of us - The twins of faith and unbelief. But a doubled-minded man is unstable in all his ways (Jas. 1:8). Faith doesn't come by seeing miracles. Faith works by love (Gal. 5:6), and the hearing of the Word of God (Rom. 10:17) trusting in the one who made the promises, who cannot lie (Tit. 1:2; 1 Jn. 2:25).
