Jamil is a former participant in the Leadership U: One-on-One program, funded by The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Driven art advocate dedicated to building communities, he has also served as the National New Play Network Producer in Residence at Mixed Blood Theatre Company and the New Play Producing Fellow at Arena Stage in Washington, DC. His interest in social justice and theatre continues to drive his work, including co-founding a culturally relevant theatre company, Colored People's Theatre, in Washington, DC. While at Colgate, he was on the track team and received his Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature/Letters.
