This week, Lynn Tylczak, a volunteer from the All Maximized Music program, talks about the program she’s developed. It provides dementia patients with free music that is selected and scored in a way that potentially improves physical and mental well-being. Clinical research shows that playing memorable music – and that includes specific musical aspects -- can help dementia patients reduce their risk of falling, improve their mood and behaviors, increase cognition, and reduce the need for antipsychotic drugs.
