Today is the third Sunday after Pascha, also known as the Sunday of the Myrrh Bearing Women. The Katavasias or hymns of the day remind us that, Sunday is a day of Resurrection and rejoicing. We as Orthodox Christians rejoice and proclaim "The Good News' of Christ Risen from the dead trampling down death by death. The remembrance of the Holy Myrrh Bearers along with Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea had a twofold emphasis. We should emulate their faith and experience of Christ and proclaim to all Christ is Risen.
