Today is the Sunday after the Elevation of the Holy Cross. Father Ernesto shares with us an Old Testament reading taken from Vespers service for the Elevation of the Holy Cross. The reading is taken from Proverbs and says, Blessed is the man who finds wisdom for she is a tree of life to all who cleave to her. Wisdom of the world is perishing but the wisdom of God grants to us eternal life. Orthodox Christians should not be caught up in the wisdom of the world for there is no profit in gaining worldly things and forfeiting life.
