The team is whipping up something extra special this Black History Month. Check out ‘Reconstructed’: a four-part series on the legacy of the Reconstruction era that followed the Civil War. This was a time when Black people gained political power, built formal communities, and worked to establish life as a newly freed people. The series is presented in collaboration with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. Part one – Birth of a Black Nation – is out now.
