Éxodo 19: Un Llamado Exclusivo Divino.
Éxodo 19:1-13:
1 En el mes tercero después de la salida de los hijos de Israel de la tierra de Egipto, en ese mismo día llegaron al desierto de Sinaí. 2 Partieron de Refidim y llegaron al desierto de Sinaí, e Israel acampó allí en el desierto frente al monte. 3 Entonces Moisés subió para encontrarse con Dios, y el SEÑOR lo llamó desde el monte, diciendo: —Así dirás a la casa de Jacob y anunciarás a los hijos de Israel: 4 “Ustedes han visto lo que he hecho a los egipcios, y cómo los he levantado a ustedes sobre alas de águilas y los he traído a mí. 5 Ahora pues, si de veras escuchan mi voz y guardan mi pacto, serán para mí un pueblo especial entre todos los pueblos. Porque mía es toda la tierra, 6 y ustedes me serán un reino de sacerdotes y una nación santa”. Estas son las palabras que dirás a los hijos de Israel.
7 Entonces Moisés volvió y llamó a los ancianos del pueblo, y expuso en su presencia todas estas palabras que el SEÑOR le había mandado. 8 Todo el pueblo respondió a una, y dijo: —¡Haremos todo lo que el SEÑOR ha dicho!
Y Moisés repitió al SEÑOR las palabras del pueblo.

En éste capítulo vemos una conversación entre Dios y Moisés. Dios, en este momento, hizo un llamamiento voluntario al pueblo de Israel.
Recordemos que Dios sacó a Israel de Egipto por el compromiso que Dios hizo con Abraham de sacar a su pueblo después de 400 años viviendo en Egipto. Ahora es diferente. Después de haberlos librado de la esclavitud, Dios hizo una propuesta a Israel. Dios quiso escogerlos a ellos para que sean un pueblo especial, ¡un pueblo que sea un reino de sacerdotes! Dios quería convertir este grupo de ex-esclavos en sacerdotes, en personas que tuvieran acceso directo con la presencia de Dios, que tengan una comunión íntima con el Todopoderoso pero con la condición de que el pueblo de Israel se separe voluntariamente del mal y siga los mandamientos de Dios. El pueblo aceptó contento el llamado de Dios.
Esto es significativo porque es de la misma manera que Jesucristo hizo con nosotros. ¡Después de sacarlos de la esclavitud del pecado, haciendo su obra magnífica en la cruz del calvario derramando su sangre preciosa, y conquistando el reino de las tinieblas, ahora el Señor Jesucristo llama al mundo entero a que, voluntariamente, se conviertan en un pueblo escogido de reyes y sacerdotes para Dios!
También, el Señor Jesucristo sigue haciendo este llamamiento con una condición: que nosotros nos separemos del mal y vivamos vidas conforme a su mandamiento.
Jesús nos pide que nos arrepintamos de nuestras faltas, que nos bauticemos en su Nombre y que seamos llenos de su santo Espíritu; pues es la forma en que Dios nos purifica y santifica para después usarnos como instrumentos en sus manos. Todo aquel que acepta su llamado se convierte en embajador del reino de los cielos, en intercesor entre Dios y la humanidad que todavía no lo conoce, y en un conducto del poder de Dios manifestándose en el mundo.
Te animo para que tomes hoy la decisión de no vivir un cristianismo pasivo, viviendo atemorizado o derrotado por el adversario. Ya no te dejes atraer más por las tentaciones terrenales. No te dejes entretener más por las atracciones de este mundo.
Activa tu fe, consagrando tu vida al servicio del Señor, siendo sensible a la voz de Dios. Esa voz ya no es como la del monte Sinaí donde hablaba con voz de truenos y relámpagos, donde el pueblo de Israel temblaba de miedo.
Ahora la voz de Dios es apacible, amorosa, que con paciencia está llamando para que podamos disfrutar de la verdadera libertad que Dios nos ofrece para entrar al lugar santísimo, a la misma presencia gloriosa de Dios donde los ángeles adoran al Señor, y así poder entender y hacer su voluntad.
Acércate junto con tu familia sin temor, y comiencen a servir al Señor como reyes y sacerdotes del Dios Altísimo.
El escritor de Hebreos nos anima a que nos acerquemos a Dios prontamente, y a la vez nos advierte a que no rechacemos este llamamiento divino en Hebreos 12:18-25: "Ustedes no se han acercado al monte que se podía tocar, al fuego encendido, a las tinieblas, a la profunda oscuridad, a la tempestad, al sonido de la trompeta y al estruendo de las palabras que los que lo oyeron rogaron que no se les hablara más porque no podían soportar lo que se mandaba: Si un animal toca el monte, será apedreado. Y tan terrible era aquel espectáculo que Moisés dijo: “Estoy aterrado y temblando”. Más bien, se han acercado al monte Sion, a la ciudad del Dios vivo, a la Jerusalén celestial, a la reunión de miríadas de ángeles, a la asamblea de los primogénitos que están inscritos en los cielos, a Dios el juez de todos, a los espíritus de los justos ya hechos perfectos, a Jesús el mediador del nuevo pacto, y a la sangre rociada que habla mejor que la de Abel. Miren que no rechacen al que habla…"

Exodus 19:1-13:
In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on the same day, they came to the Wilderness of Sinai. For they had departed from Rephidim, had come to the Wilderness of Sinai, and camped in the wilderness. So Israel camped there before the mountain. And Moses went up to God, and the Lord called to him from the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel: ‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings and brought you to Myself. Now therefore, if you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to Me above all people; for all the earth is Mine. And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”
So Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before them all these words which the Lord commanded him. Then all the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” So Moses brought back the words of the people to the Lord.

In this chapter we see a conversation between God and Moses. God, at this moment, made a voluntary appeal to the people of Israel.
Let us remember that God brought Israel out of Egypt because of the commitment that God made with Abraham to bring his people out after 400 years living in Egypt. Now it's different. After having freed them from slavery, God made a proposal to Israel. God wanted to choose them to be a special people, a people that is a kingdom of priests! God wanted to convert this group of ex-slaves into priests, into people who could have direct access to the presence of God, that they could have an intimate communion with the Almighty but on the condition that the people of Israel voluntarily separate themselves from evil and follow the commandments of God. The people happily accepted God's call.
This is significant because it is the same way that Jesus Christ did with us. After taking them out of the slavery of sin, doing His magnificent work on the cross of Calvary shedding His precious blood, and conquering the kingdom of darkness, now the Lord Jesus Christ calls the whole world to voluntarily become a chosen people of kings and priests for God!
Also, the Lord Jesus Christ continues to make this call on one condition: that we separate ourselves from evil and live lives according to His command.
Jesus asks us to repent of our faults, to be baptized in His Name and to be filled with His Holy Spirit; because it is the way in which God purifies and sanctifies us and then uses us as instruments in His hands. Everyone who accepts His call becomes an ambassador of the kingdom of heaven, an intercessor between God and humanity that does not yet know Him, and a conduit of God's power manifesting itself in the world.
I encourage you to make the decision today not to live a passive Christianity, living in fear or defeated by the adversary. Don't let yourself be attracted by earthly temptations anymore. Don't let yourself be entertained by the attractions of this world.
Activate your faith, consecrating your life to the service of the Lord, being sensitive to the voice of God. That voice is no longer like the one on Mount Sinai where He spoke with a voice of thunder and lightning, where the people of Israel trembled with fear.
Now the voice of God is peaceful, loving, patiently calling so that we can enjoy the true freedom that God offers us to enter the most holy place, the same glorious presence of God where the angels adore the Lord, and thus be able to understand and do His will.
Come together with your family without fear, and begin to serve the Lord as kings and priests of the Most High God.
The writer of Hebrews encourages us to approach God quickly, and at the same time warns us not to reject this divine call in Hebrews 12:18-25: “ For you have not come to the mountain that may be touched and that burned with fire, and to blackness and darkness and tempest, and the sound of a trumpet and the voice of words, so that those who heard it begged that the word should not be spoken to them anymore. But you have come to Mount Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, to an innumerable company of angels, to the general assembly and church of the firstborn who are registered in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. See that you do not refuse Him who speaks.”
