📖 Apocalipsis 1:1‭-‬16 RVA2015:
La revelación de Jesucristo, que Dios le dio para mostrar a sus siervos las cosas que deben suceder pronto; y que dio a conocer enviándola por medio de su ángel a su siervo Juan, quien ha dado testimonio de la palabra de Dios y del testimonio de Jesucristo, de todo lo que ha visto. Bienaventurado el que lee y los que oyen las palabras de esta profecía, y guardan las cosas escritas en ella, porque el tiempo está cerca. Juan, a las siete iglesias que están en Asia: Gracia a ustedes y paz de parte del que es y que era y que ha de venir, y de parte de los siete Espíritus que están delante de su trono, y de parte de Jesucristo, el testigo fiel, el primogénito de entre los muertos y el soberano de los reyes de la tierra. Al que nos ama y nos libró de nuestros pecados con su sangre, y nos constituyó en un reino, sacerdotes para Dios su Padre; a él sea la gloria y el dominio para siempre jamás. Amén. He aquí que viene con las nubes, y todo ojo le verá: aun los que le traspasaron. Todas las tribus de la tierra harán lamentación por él. ¡Sí, amén! “Yo soy el Alfa y la Omega”, dice el Señor Dios, “el que es y que era y que ha de venir, el Todopoderoso”. Yo Juan, su hermano y copartícipe en la tribulación y en el reino y en la perseverancia en Jesús, estaba en la isla llamada Patmos por causa de la palabra de Dios y del testimonio de Jesús. Yo estaba en el Espíritu en el día del Señor y oí detrás de mí una gran voz como de trompeta, que decía: “Escribe en un libro lo que ves, y envíalo a las siete iglesias: a Éfeso, a Esmirna, a Pérgamo, a Tiatira, a Sardis, a Filadelfia y a Laodicea”. Di vuelta para ver la voz que hablaba conmigo. Y habiéndome vuelto, vi siete candeleros de oro, y en medio de los candeleros vi a uno semejante al Hijo del Hombre, vestido con una vestidura que le llegaba hasta los pies y tenía el pecho ceñido con un cinto de oro. Su cabeza y sus cabellos eran blancos como la lana blanca, como la nieve, y sus ojos eran como llama de fuego. Sus pies eran semejantes al bronce bruñido, ardiente como en un horno. Su voz era como el estruendo de muchas aguas. Tenía en su mano derecha siete estrellas, y de su boca salía una espada aguda de dos filos. Su rostro era como el sol cuando resplandece en su fuerza.

Empezamos con uno de los libros más misteriosos pero importantes de la Biblia. Apocalipsis significa Revelación. Es un libro que desvela los acontecimientos que han pasado, que están pasando, y que pasarán. El Apocalipsis, mayormente, se enfoca en las visiones que Juan tuvo sobre los eventos que van a acontecer desde el momento en que Cristo venga por su iglesia.
En este devocional nos vamos a enfocar en las enseñanzas que edifican nuestros hogares y nuestras vidas, sin caer en debates o discusiones sobre interpretaciones de las visiones.

Hoy quiero que entendamos cuán profunda es la identidad que hemos adquirido en Dios. Juan dice que después de que Jesús nos ha rescatado de los pecados y nos ha lavado con su sangre, ¡Jesucristo nos convirtió en reyes y sacerdotes! ¡Qué privilegio tan grande que Dios nos da!
Somos parte de la realeza divina, gobernadores del reino de los cielos, reinando junto al Rey de reyes y Señor de señores.
También somos sacerdotes, o sea, tenemos acceso a la presencia de Dios y somos intercesores para este mundo entre Dios y la humanidad, para que puedan acercarse al Dios Todopoderoso y para que sus pecados sean limpiados. Tú y yo somos delegados de Dios para interceder y guiar a la humanidad de sus pecados a la santidad de Dios.

Recordando nuestra identidad en Dios, vamos a comportarnos como es digno, y vamos a guiar a nuestra familia por el camino del bien, recordándoles la posición de honra que Dios nos ha dado.
El mundo no lo entiende pero nosotros sí. El mundo no nos reconoce ni nos tratan con respeto y dignidad, pero nosotros sí debemos estar conscientes, no sólo de los privilegios que recibimos sino también la responsabilidad que llevamos como representantes del reino de los cielos.
¡En la escuela, en el trabajo o en cualquier otro lugar, debes comportarte como un rey o una reina y mantenerte puro como un sacerdote! No importa si eres un adolescente o un adulto (joven o viejo), Dios te usará poderosamente para que ejercites tus funciones de rey y sacerdote, y así cumplas su voluntad.

¿Te estás comportando como un digno representante de la realeza celestial?
¿Estás listo en cualquier momento para ministrar en la presencia de Dios como un fiel sacerdote?

August 26: We are kings and priests!

Revelation 1:1-16:
The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place. And He sent and signified it by His angel to His servant John, who bore witness to the word of God, and to the testimony of Jesus Christ, to all things that he saw. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.
John, to the seven churches which are in Asia:
Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth.
To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and has made us kings and priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Even so, Amen.
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
I, John, both your brother and companion in the tribulation and kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was on the island that is called Patmos for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus Christ. I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a loud voice, as of a trumpet, saying, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last,” and, “What you see, write in a book and send it to the seven churches which are in Asia: to Ephesus, to Smyrna, to Pergamos, to Thyatira, to Sardis, to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.”
Then I turned to see the voice that spoke with me. And having turned I saw seven golden lampstands, and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire; His feet were like fine brass, as if refined in a furnace, and His voice as the sound of many waters; He had in His right hand seven stars, out of His mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and His countenance was like the sun shining in its strength.


We begin with one of the most mysterious but important books in the Bible. Revelation is a book that reveals the events that have happened, that are happening, and that will happen. Revelation, for the most part, focuses on the visions that John had about the events that will take place from the moment when Christ comes for His church.
In this devotional we are going to focus on the teachings that build our homes and our lives, without falling into debates or discussions about interpretations of the visions.

Today I want us to understand how deep is the identity that we have acquired in God. John says that after Jesus has rescued us from sins and has washed us with His blood, Jesus Christ made us kings and priests! What a privilege God gives us!
We are part of divine royalty, rulers of the kingdom of heaven, reigning alongside the King of kings and Lord of lords.
We are also priests, that is, we have access to the presence of God and we are intercessors for this world between God and humanity, so that they can approach the Almighty God and so that their sins are cleansed. You and I are God's delegates to intercede and guide mankind from its sins to God's holiness.

Remembering our identity in God, we will behave in a worthy way, and we will guide our family on the path of good, reminding them of the position of honor that God has given us.
The world doesn't understand it but we do. The world does not recognize us or treat us with respect and dignity, but we must be aware, not only of the privileges we receive but also the responsibility that we carry as representatives of the kingdom of heaven.
At school, at work or anywhere else, you must behave like a king or a queen and stay pure like a priest! It doesn't matter if you are a teen or an adult (young or old), God will use you powerfully to exercise your functions as king and priest, and thus fulfill His will.

Consider this:
Are you behaving like a worthy representative of heavenly royalty?
Are you ready at any moment to minister in the presence of God as a faithful priest?
