The new iRecycle is the first step in a broad set of improvements we will be making to the database and our efforts to make recycling easier and more convenient. Mitch shares a few details about our early experiments with on-demand recycling coaching and takeaway services.

Chardai, thanks for your comment. Yes, glass is completely recyclable, but the economics collapsed when China stopped accepting imported glass. The material is easily reused and recycled. It just isn't as profitable under the existing recycling model in the US, which is starting to change now.
