Gospel Reflection: Monday February 22

Yes hard choices. Technocracy/bureaucracy doesn’t just insulate leaders from followers or bosses from workers, it can also relieve us of our responsibilities.

It goes back to leadership though. If a leader refuses to admit mistakes how can they be forgiven them? We need leaders who are willing to be “cancelled”.

And the real failure is a lack of humility on all our parts. A lack of humility in leaders who are unwilling to admit failure and just as important a lack of humility on our part in our unwillingness to forgive. Christ is always calling us to renewal in Him.

Bureaucracy and Technocracy are also reductionist. They are comfortable ways of managing the chaos that erupts when there is a lack of true leadership, which is fundamentally a moral failure.

Excellent reflection. There is an unfortunate lack of understanding about hierarchy in our culture much of it driven by simplistic and reductionist ideology (Marxism)
