Jeremiah 6:16 MSG
In today’s world, there’s a real shaking going on. People used to have some form of security, stability, and surety. Why? Because people are building their lives on supernatural foundations.

Foundations are:
· What you build your life on
· How you view life or do life
· Your value systems
· Your conscience, conviction, and commitment of life

I. (Matthew 7:24-27 TPT, 1 Corinthians 6:12, Romans 14:22-23, 1 Samuel 8:5-6)

A. In our attempt to become progressive have we compromised our morals, ethics, and values foundation?

B. What was once unacceptable/acceptable, intolerable/tolerable, distained/celebrated to not offend or to conform to the world.

· Why was the divorce rate lower?
· Why was there teenage pregnancy?
· Why was there sex outside of marriage?
· Why were children born out of wedlock?
· Why was there suicide?
· Why was virginity kept longer?
· Why were handshake promises valued?
· Why were favors truly favors?
· Why was profanity on television?
· Why was respecting your elders held higher?
· Why were Sundays more valued?
· Why were there dinners around the table?

II. Foundation words to build your life on.

A. (Exodus 34:6-7) Most quoted scripture in Bible.

B. (Matthew 20:28)
Substitution – takes the place of another.

C. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20)
Redemption – is purchased back.

D. (Romans 3:25)
Propitiation – satisfy God’s righteous demands.

E. (2 Corinthians 5:18)
Reconciliation – the act of exchange.

F. (Hebrews 10:17) Forgiveness – to take away punishment of sin.

G. (Romans 3:26) Justification – declared righteous.

H. (Hebrews 10: 19-22) Righteousness – right standing with God.

I. (1 Corinthians 6:11) Sanctification – set apart, holy purpose.

J. (1 Timothy 2:5) Mediator – goes on behalf of another.

K. (John 3:16) Salvation – took the place of the sinner by death. Punishment of your sins.

III. (Proverbs 1:8) Old foundation words once used.
A. If you touch it, you own it.
B. Don’t be sorry, be right.
C. Don’t be a poor sport loser.
D. Take responsibility for your life.
E. Give more than you take.
F. Put things back when you use them.
G. When you start something, finish it.
H. Treat others the way you expect to be treated.
I. Your word is your bond.
J. Opportunity is more likely to happen to the prepared.
K. Greatness is the ability to say “no” to yourself.
L. No one owes you anything.
M. Your attitude determines your altitude.
