What do Deb's eye color and her dream car have to do with this episode? Absolutely nothing. Except that her eyes are green and she does dream of owning an El Camino and so we welcome our guest, Green Camino. What started as a volunteer position helping compost at a local food pantry turned into a larger vision of a citywide curbside composting service for Kathy Gutowsky and Randi Cox. With both residential and corporate clients, their company Green Camino has recovered over 10 tons of waste (or four El Caminos) from our landfill in just over a year of operation and continues to expand their service area based on neighborhood interest. Green Camino is committed to giving residents a chance to take their organic, paper and food waste and put it back into the earth. Even the buckets they use are a recovered resource from local restaurants!
