David's prayer (11:30-17:24): "Today we call upon You, God, to guide us in the holy encounter. We have asked for the means to awaken to heaven. You have given us an opportunity to a new perception of everyone and everything. Today we open to receive the experience of the holy encounter as we teach it. Today we listen to the Holy Spirit in Jesus, the Teacher Who knows of light, Who is teaching us OF light, of no limit on learning, of no limit on mind. We have believed that our brothers and sisters are different from our self, that all of us could have separate personality-selves. This cannot be the truth. Whom You created You created One: perfectly unified; perfect love and joy and innocence; perfect peace. Today we open to know the Will of God perfectly, to experience joy and peace with everyone we encounter, [whether] we seem to encounter [them] physically or mentally. If we think of someone, this is a holy encounter. If we meet someone, seemingly person to person, we open to Your new perception, we open to 'love thy neighbor AS thy self.' We open to the experience that my brother IS my self, my sister IS my self. I am teaching myself what I am - as I react, as I think, as I treat, so I react and think and treat about myself. Let me remember as I review these beautiful ideas of the day…; let me see the holy encounter as You see it. Remind me of the beautiful words from the text that You have offered for me today: 'When you meet anyone, remember it is a holy encounter. As you see him you will see yourself. As you treat him you will treat yourself. As you think of him you will think of yourself. NEVER forget this, for in him you will find yourself or lose yourself. We realize that this is the goal of the curriculum: Know thyself. There is nothing else to seek. Everyone IS looking for his self and for the power and glory he thinks he has lost. Let me remember that whenever I am with anyone, I have another opportunity to find the power and the glory I THINK I have lost.' The workbook review ideas and lessons help me; they help me to see my brother as my self/my sister as my self by recognizing my holiness: the holiness within, the holiness that is in God, the holiness that extends to everyone and everything. Today we practice: 'My holiness envelops everything I see.' 'My holiness blesses the world.' 'There is nothing my holiness cannot do.' 'My holiness is my salvation.' 'I am blessed as a Son of God.' Amen."
