TRASCRIZIONE [ENG translation below]

TRANSLATION

Rain is not all the same, depending on the time of the day and also the season in which it falls.

I remember certain summer days, August and early September, when I was a young girl by then and we got tired of going to the beach every day, so as we used to, we went to the beach every day in the summer and sometimes it happened to rain. Back then we would still go to the beach, with my friends, especially my cousin, we would try to interpret those images that we saw on TV, usually American TV shows where they would go to the beach even when it was raining, maybe in shorts and long-sleeved shirt, however we were not very equipped for this kind of activity, but we loved it, going to the beach and there were wooden huts, the little houses, we would stand under there and watch the rain falling, however then we would get tired and whatever, we would go back to the city.

Rain when it falls in winter, on the other hand, is boring, especially when it lasts for days, days, days. I remember when I lived in Berlin, one time I think the rain fell continuously for like two weeks, by the way my mom was visiting and we were very limited in the things we could do because it was raining, I think, it was also summer by the way, because yes, in Berlin it rains in the summer also, or at least it rained.

Then there is the rain, which, my son always tells me when we talk about the good things we remember from long ago, from when he was little, one of the things he remembers with most love, affection and nostalgia is the sound of rain falling on the roof. He in Melbourne had, in one of the houses where we lived, it had a roof, it was a two-story house, his bedroom was on the second floor and there was the roof made of metal, sort of sheet metal, and when it rained there was the ticking of the rain falling and you could hear ticking, tick, tick, tick, tick, that was the noise, he tells me, nicer to hear the rain while you're warm in your room playing or under the covers and you're watching, more than watching, you hear the sound of the rain falling outside.

By the way, that house was right in front of a train station, so trains also passed by and it was also a very nice noise that I remember with nostalgia.

Then there are the torrential rains that come down and take everything away, and it doesn't matter if it's hot or cold, because they take everything away, get your shoes wet, make things fly off the balcony. Fortunately, it is not the rain that is falling now. Right now it is a drizzle in early June and we hope the sun will come out soon.
