In this episode, Nancy and Jose are joined in studio for a great conversation with two passionate literacy advocates: John Corcoran, the author of "The Teacher Who Couldn't Read" as well as the Founder of the John Corcoran Foundation, and Nick Nanton, the 22-time Emmy Award winning director and producer. John and Nick are also partners on the soon to be released documentary, "The Truth About Reading."

Listen as John tells his powerful story of learning to read at age 48 and how he enlisted the storytelling skills of Nick in creating their new documentary. You'll also hear Nick discuss their three goals for the documentary: present a fair and balanced presentation on illiteracy, create a discussion about the need to try new methods while maintaining successful methods, and to help find the resources for families, students and adults struggling with the time and the money to improve.
