The amount of pressure and anxiety our kids are going through right now needs to be understood more by parents. Middle school years should be for learning and growing and learning from their mistakes and as parents, we should focus on helping our children recognize that. Also, most parents think they just need to wait out the middle school years and hope their kid reconnects with them later, but it doesn't need to be like that. When they listen and show interest, focus on mutual trust and understanding their children's needs during this formative time, they can stay connected and raise a grounded child.
