Rising from modest beginnings in a Northern Ontario mining town, Don’s business career carried him to California where he rapidly rose to senior executive ranks in giant corporations including Manulife, William M. Mercer, and Johnson & Higgins. Succumbing to entrepreneurial ambitions and his love for America, he became a U.S. citizen before launching his own employee communications consulting firm. Upon selling his firm in 2010, Don turned his attention to philanthropy and community service.
