Many of the greatest seasons in Ohio State football history have happened thanks to second-year players who made huge leaps into stardom.

The Super Sophs led the 1968 Buckeyes to a 50-14 win over Michigan, a Rose Bowl title against OJ Simpson and USC, and a national championship.

The 2014 Buckeyes rode sophomore Ezekiel Elliott, along with Billy Price, Darron Lee, Vonn Bell, and Eli Apple to the first-ever College Football Playoff championship.

In recent years, Justin Fields, CJ Stroud, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba have been among the second-season standouts in Columbus.

So which second-year Buckeyes will take a big leap into stardom this fall?

Tony Gerdeman, host of the Buckeye Weekly podcast, joins host Tom Orr to discuss that and pick six players who they think could be on the verge of becoming nationally-known stars.
