The Iowa straw poll is the first test for the GOP presidential candidates in 2011,we are there. HOURS: The gates to the straw poll grounds open at 9 a.m. Saturday. Voting runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside both the Scheman Building and Hilton Coliseum. TICKETS: Will be available at the gate for $30. All are welcome, but only Iowans will be allowed to vote. VOTING: Iowans of any political persuasion may select their favorite Republican candidate from the ballot of nine choices. A photo ID will be required to vote. RESULTS: Will be announced by 6 p.m. by Iowa GOP officials, who will certify the results in conjunction with the Iowa secretary of state.
