Every Podcast sounds better with music. In this episode we discuss how to use Royalty Free Intro Music for your podcast.

Many of you may be wondering what Royalty free music is and you would not be alone. Back before there were podcasts music was played on radio shows. This was great because artists music was played where everyone could hear it. However the radio stations made money off the music while often the artist did not. So a system was put into place to pay the artist a Royalty (or fee) each time their music was played on the radio. Naturally when podcasting came on the scene, the music industry wanted to keep royalties going even in podcasts.

Thankfully, a new branch of music popped up called Royalty free music. Royalty free music is not free. You pay a one time fee to use the music (usually only a few dollars). Once you have paid the fee you can use the music in your podcast as often as you like or as often as the artist's contract allows.
