CNC Router Tips Podcast Episode 13
Question: Mark Slatem asks: Should I get a 2.2kw High Speed Spindle? I’m thinking of upgrading my spindle. I currently have a 400 watt spindle on a quite powerful DIY machine I’ve made. I’m thinking of getting one of these 2.2 kw Chinese made water cooled high speed spindles. I was wondering if you had some advice on that. Whether I should be going for a spindle that can do a greater range of RPM maybe from like 100 RPM to 24,000 RPM or is it okay to go for these water cooled spindles that only do from 8000 to 24,000 RPM?
