There, on December 28th, 1862, the Union looked to push them out of there as well and secure the region. We end the episode with a short battle at Parker's Cross Roads Dec. 31st, where Union BG Jerimiah C. Sullivan attempted to cut Confederate forces off from withdrawing across the Tennessee river.
