Radames Perá (born September 14, 1960) is an American former actor best known for his role as "Grasshopper" the student Kwai Chang Caine in the 1972–1975 television series Kung Fu. He is the only living regular cast member from the show.
This was a great interview. I've been a fan of Radames since I was about 8 years old (Radames is 6 years older than me). When I was about 5 years old, I was into TV shows in 1971. I saw Mr. Pera on The Waltons (my mom loved Little House & The Waltons) and at that time I knew alot of well known actors and shows. When I first saw Radames on The Waltons, I wanted to know who he was. I felt that his acting was great even though I didnt understand why. I just thought he was good and in a few years he seemed to be everywhere. My thoughts were proven right where he was an up and coming young actor and by 1975 he was in an episode of my favorite TV show at the time called "The Six Million Dollar Man". He established himself as a good actor by the time Kung Fu ended. But Hollywood can be a struggle going from a child actor to an adult actor. Very few make it and Radames disappeared for a few decades. In this interview, I enjoyed this very much as he tells us alot of things we didnt know, such as the kill off on Little House, lol, that was great. Radames kept me entertained and hes the type of guy that would be very interesting to have a fun conversation. I wish I could ask him some fan questions relating to some of the TV shows he appeared. I would be very interested in that. I'm also very interested in his book. I hope to find out soon its release date.
