We give words immense power, and in the process we lose sight of action. Even though actions speak louder than words, we tend to forget that all together. The relationships that we feel are true love may be a trauma bond instead. People we know may use manipulation and gaslighting to get what they want from us, keeping us confused as to what is really happening in the relationship. Others realize the power they have and use the silent treatment to hurt others by cutting communication entirely making the other person feel in prison.
