The family of the 6-year-old who shot his teacher has released a statement through their attorney expressing concern about the teacher and that their son has an acute mental issue that requires a parent to be with him in school. On the day of the shooting, the plan was not executed as stated and the 6 years got his mother's gun and shot his teacher. Information had been made available to staff that the kid had a gun, and a search by nonlaw enforcement professionals yielded nothing despite all of the advanced information.
