Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has wrapped up a four-day visit to three African capitals - Dakar, Luanda and Addis, where he met leaders from the Ethiopian government and the African Union. The trip focused on improved commercial ties and security cooperation. Making his first official visit to sub Saharan Africa, Pompeo was warmly received on each stop, but there was little concrete indication of any improvement in U.S. relations with the continent.
