I used to always make the joke that I had to be myself because nobody else wanted to be. And I guess that’s true but it had sort of a negative connotation that being me was not all that great. And that’s how I went through most of my life, thinking that there was always something wrong with me, thinking that I needed to change in order to fit in, to find friends, to be loved, to be chosen. I could never be myself and have those outcomes. I have learned that that is a terrible way to live and a lonely way to live and you never really find your tribe that way. So let’s talk about it.
