This is the introductory episode to a series of episodes that will be based on the book, 1001 Battles That Changed the Course of World History. Each episode will introduce a new battle that played an important role in shaping civilization today, and especially Western Civilization. Each episode will provide an overview of the armies that fought and basics such as army sizes, leading generals, basic tactics, and technology used. I will then discuss what events culminated into this battle and the impact that this battle left on history.
